The fastest way to run an agent on Astropods is to deploy a public blueprint from Explore. You'll deploy NextGig — a personal job-hunting agent that turns a CV or LinkedIn profile into a skill matrix, searches for live openings, and can email digests of new matches.
Browse the Explore Catalog
Explore is Astropods' public catalog of agent blueprints. Anyone can deploy a blueprint into their own account.
- Go to astropods.com/explore (or click Explore from the dashboard).
- Browse the available blueprints — each card shows the agent name, a short description, and how many times it has been deployed.
- Use the search box or scroll to find nextgig by astro-ai.
Open the NextGig Blueprint
NextGig is a personal job-search agent: hand it your CV once and it runs the hunt from there — matching skills, checking that postings are still live, and tracking what you've applied to.
- Open the NextGig blueprint page: astropods.com/astro-ai/nextgig
- Read the AGENT.md description on the page. Note that it:
- Extracts a skill matrix from a LinkedIn PDF, CV, or pasted profile
- Searches the web for currently open roles (via the Astropods Gateway — no search API key)
- Verifies postings before showing them
- Can email digests (optional Resend key — you can skip email for this module)
- Confirm Integrations lists the Astropods Gateway and PostgreSQL — those are injected at deploy time, so you don't need to supply model keys.
Deploy NextGig
Deploying takes a blueprint from the registry and runs it as a live agent in your Astropods account. NextGig is designed for personal use and needs no external API keys for basic chat and job search.
- On the NextGig blueprint page, click + Deploy as new agent.
- Leave optional secrets empty for now — you don't need
RESEND_API_KEYunless you want email digests later. - Give the deployment a recognizable name, e.g. nextgig or my-nextgig.
- Click Deploy to start the deployment. While it's deploying, you can click View Deployment to watch that stage in progress.
- Wait for the deployment to finish — status should show Active when ready.

Open Your Agent
Once deployed, NextGig serves its own chat UI with PDF upload support.
- From your Agents list in the Astropods dashboard, find the NextGig deployment you just created.
- Click Launch (or the agent name) to open its web interface.
- Confirm the chat UI loads and the agent is ready to accept messages or a CV upload.
Caution: Keep the URL private. NextGig is a single-user agent with no authentication — anyone with the link can use your deployment.
